AI For Educators – Assessment: Hands-on Project and Tool Review

Goal

The goal of this assessment is to connect to overall course’s goal of helping students (educators) become digitally fluent, explore personalized learning options, and try out innovative teaching methods through the use of AI technology and tools.

The assessment is designed to provide students with insight into how to implement AI into their workflow, such as creating a lesson plan, personalized feedbacks or end of lesson quizzes.

Directions

Choose one AI tool discussed in the module (or an alternative you find relevant) that can be used for content creation or personalized learning.

Here is a list that can helpful to get you started.

Project

Use this tool to generate a lesson plan, quiz, or personalized learning material. Document your process (videos, screenshots, brief notes etc).

Helpful Guide

AI Tool Review

Write a short review (150-250 words) covering:

  • Which tool did you use?
  • What did you use the tool for?
  • What were its strengths and limitations?
  • How could you practically implement this tool in your teaching?

Evaluation Criteria

  • Effective use of the chosen AI tool.
  • Clarity and thoroughness of the end of product: lesson plan, quiz, or personalized learning material.
  • Insightful and balanced tool review.

Technology

  • Access to various online AI tools.
  • Access to File sharing services like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive etc.
  • Assignment submission via this website.

Submission

The purpose of this assessment is to provide practical experience with AI tools and encourage critical evaluation.
